Who's writing this?
Hi, I’m Mara, a digital business manager (OBM) obsessed with systems that actually support your brain & goals. I’ve spent the past few years designing systems, managing projects and teams, helping visionary founders scale their business.
But long before that, I was in the messy middle myself — learning by doing. I built skills through projects like web & graphic design, video editing, social media management and digital products. And the moment I stepped into client work, I started noticing the patterns: broken workflows, scattered tools, unclear roles, overcomplicated systems. Things that made everything harder than it had to be.
So I stepped in. Not because I had to, but because I couldn’t not help.
Supporting businesses where no one else could became second nature.
Looking back, I think I was always meant to do the work I do now. I’ve always had a soft spot for stuck seasons, and for the people building big things with limited support.
I’ve also lived my own “sacrifice season”, juggling a full-time job and around three clients constantly for over two years. I know the pressure, the burnout, and the constant urge to push harder.
It was during that time I realized systems aren’t just for business; they’re for life. They’re what keep you moving when energy runs low and decision fatigue hits.
Recently, I realized I spent so long behind the scenes helping others, that I forgot to give myself space to create, to build something of my own. That’s part of why this newsletter exists. It’s my way of stepping forward and sharing what I’ve learned over the past 10+ years: that structure can feel like care, and that the right systems don’t just help a business grow, they support the person building it.
